This seminar shows how a continuous Closed Loop Color Control can help the operators to achieve the right color much faster. The startup of the machine as well as the shade and grade change can be done in an automatic mode. This relieves the workload for the operators during this time critical period. OBA is used in large quantities and is expensive. But overdyeing reduces even the whiteness of the paper, the paper becomes greenish. This can be avoided with the Closed Loop Color Control. The tinting colorants (typically blue and violet pigment slurries) are used in very small quantities.
