The below listed X-Rite applications run on the new Apple OS 10.9 Mavericks with the following requirements and known issues:
XRD UPDATE REQUIRED:
X-Rite customers that have upgraded to the recently released Apple OS 10.9 Mavericks may experience communication issues with X-Rite instruments. To resolve these communications issues, certain X-Rite applications require an update to the latest X-Rite Device Services (XRD) driver software. See list below:
XRD v2.3.2 or higher REQUIRED
XRD v2.3.2 NOT REQUIRED
(Display, Basic, Photo, Publish)
|ColorMunki Photo (XRD v1)||X|
|ColorMunki Design (XRD v1)||X|
|DNG Profile Manager||X|
|i1Profiler D2 Lion Edition||Not supported on MacOS 10.8 or higher||Not supported on MacOS 10.8 or higher|
NOTE: XRD versions v2.3.2 & higher (Mac only) include an auto-update function: This auto-update function will trigger a message stating that a new version of XRD is available. It is highly recommended to perform this update. Please note that this auto-update will only be performed on Mavericks and is triggered once a day. XRD will not be auto-updated on any other operating system, be it Mac or Windows based.
In addition to the auto-update, a stand-alone installer for XRD v2.4.0 is also published here.
This updater is recommended when the auto-update will not work, for instance when there is no Internet connection.
Hint: On Mavericks the Menu Bar as well as the Dock can optionally set to be shown on both monitors (primary and secondary). This means that any of the monitors can set as primary or secondary.
This issue will be addressed in future releases of the affected applications.
