End-of-Life Announcement: X-Rite Software Development Support on Windows® 10
At X-Rite, we are committed to providing industry-leading color management solutions that are reliable, secure, and compatible with modern computing environments. From time to time, we review our supported platforms to ensure our software continues to deliver the best possible experience for our customers.
Effective October 14, 2025, X-Rite will discontinue development of its software products for Windows® 10 support.
This decision aligns with Microsoft’s official end of support for Windows 10 on the same date.
What does this mean for you?
- X-Rite software installed on Windows 10 will no longer receive updates, bug fixes, or security patches.
- You may encounter increasing compatibility issues as new software updates are released for supported operating systems.
Technical support from X-Rite
- Issues specific to Windows 10 → will no longer be supported after October 14th, 2025.
- General product questions and information → will remain supported.
What versions of Windows will be supported?
As of
October 14th, 2025, X-Rite will no longer provide software updates, technical support, or troubleshooting assistance for any issues known to be caused by running Microsoft Windows 10 (or earlier). Check out our Windows 11 compatibility matrix here:
Windows® 11 Software Compatibility.
Why is support ending for Windows 10?
Microsoft announced the end of support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. After this date, Windows 10 devices will no longer receive security updates or patches from Microsoft. Running X-Rite software on an unsupported operating system poses risks to stability and security, and it becomes increasingly difficult for us to ensure compatibility and performance.
Recommended action
For the best product and service experience:
- Upgrade your computer to Windows 11 or another Microsoft-supported operating system before October 14, 2025.
- Reinstall or migrate your X-Rite software onto the upgraded system to ensure full compatibility and ongoing support.
Important notes
- If you are running an old version of X-Rite software, you may also need to upgrade to a new version to be compatible with Windows 11 OS.
- If you uninstall X-Rite software from a Windows 10 device after October 14, 2025, you may not be able to reinstall or activate it again on that operating system.
