Error Extracting Installation Files

Trying to extract the installation files for ColorMunki software and getting Unspecified Error 0x8004005 messages or a message showing ColorMunki Setup-0 bin is Missing From the Installation Directory.

The Unspecified Error 0x8004005 will sometimes happen if you are trying to download an executible file and then extract the files. Basically the file becomes corrupted and then the system does not know what to do while trying to unzip.

To resolve this issue you can simply delete everything in your temporary folder at C:\ Windows\Temp or you can also use the Disk Cleanup Utility that comes preinstalled on the Windows system located at:

On XP:
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup

On Vista and Windows 7:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup

The message showing ColorMunki Setup-0 bin is Missing From the Installation Directory that can populate when users are trying to install the software is due to trying to either run the installation file from within the zipped folder or if the full contents of the zipped folder have not been extracted to the same location. If you receive this message simply close the message and then unzip the folder again by double clicking the folder and then selecting the Extract All option. at the top left of the screen.
