Resetting the Monitor Optimizer (DTP92/DTP92L/DTP92Q/DTP92Q/USB)

It is possible to return the X-Rite Monitor Optimizer to its factory default. Doing so will return the unit to a known functional state before attempting to configure it for the specific needs of a software application. The reset command will restore ALL settings in both volatile and non-volatile memory. Use this command with care as it overwrites all configuration settings in the instrument. A different reset code is issued depending on the platform - PC or Macintosh. This ensures proper communications behavior with the computer following the actual reset.

Required... (1) any commercial terminal program (2) the USB terminal program for the DTP92 USB.

Proceed as follows:

  • Set terminal to the correct port, baud rate, handshake etc. (this will be done automatically if using USB)

Default: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, handshake off

  • Confirm communication by sending a "SV" command.

Instrument type and firmware version should be returned.

  • Send the reset command:

From Macintosh send "005CRI". Response should be <00>

From PC send "015CRI". Response should be <00>

Unit is now returned to X-Rite Factory Default Settings.

Note: After a reset, the unit must be recalibrated before it will measure accurately!
