Can I Measure Optical Density with a CE3100?
The CE3100 measures with spherical geometry. It is not intended to measure density -- almost always measured with 0/45 geometry. While it is possible to convert any spectral data into densitometric output, the differences in instrument geometry will likely introduce considerable measurement differences if the data is compared to a conventional densitometer.
