L*a*b* and sRGB Values Change With the Light Source - Troubleshooter

Question - Why do the L*a*b* and sRGB values for colors change, when changing the light source in ColorMunki?

Answer - All colors used or defined in ColorMunki are described with full spectral information. For conversion of spectral colors into CIE L*a*b* colors including the spectral information of a light source is always required. So, the type of light source has an influence of resulting L*a*b* colors (CIE L*a*b* represents the color perception of the human eye). Changing the light source changes the L*a*b and sRGB color values as a consequence.
