Notes:
We recommend having the latest TAC7 Firmware version installed before using PANTORA. Firmware upgrades are done with the TAC7 Diagnostics tool. Both firmware and diagnostics tool can be downloaded here here.
To use PANTORA’s connectivity feature, it is recommended to update the respective device driver and Firmware to the latest version. Please find the corresponding downloads at Ci7XX0, MetaVue and MA-T12.
Pantora 2026.2 contains the following new features and improvements:
- Browser
- Fixed import using “CxF+EXR”, which could fail for CxFs that were exported with PANTORA version 2023.2 SP1 or before
- Editor
- Allow to add an Alpha filter to an existing SVBRDF representation
- Added metric rulers to the Texture Editor’s viewport
- Added a Texture Editor preset library which stores application-wide presets independently from the presets stored in individual AxF files
- Measured height maps can be exported from within the Measurement tab
- Restored automatic switching to “Step Chip” object in 3D preview when loading a volumetric material
- Fixed blurry checkerboard background for transparent materials in 2D preview on Intel graphics cards
- Fixed unexpected termination of application when importing textures from broken or invalid image files
- Fixed conversion of SVBRDF to uniforms, which could lead to an incorrect and impossibly large alpha value for extremely transparent materials
- Restrict input of alpha values in representation editor to physically possible value range
- Resolved an issue where thumbnail images exported in HDR formats (such as EXR) could appear differently from LDR exports in standard image viewers
- Connect
- Fixed an issue in the MA-T12 “Any BRDF” program that could make light, glossy materials appear unrealistically bright in the resulting material model
- TAC7
- Improved auto-selection of some misleading processing options
- Non-refractive Clear Coat fitting options have been marked deprecated and will be removed in the next PANTORA release
- Viewer
- Fixed unexpected termination of application when loading a 3D object from a broken or invalid OBJ file
