If the user encounters a "download error" when attempting to access the instrument via X-RiteColor Master Web Edition (for calibration or any type of measurement), the driver for the instrument may be corrupt. To correct this error, follow the steps below:
1. | Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools, and then Internet Options |
2. | On the General Tab, under Temporary Internet files, click on the Settings button |
3. | On the settings screen, click on View Objects. |
4. | Locate the CMClient Class object, and RIGHT click on it. |
5. | Click on Remove. |
6. | Exit completely out of Internet Explorer |
7. | Open Windows Explorer (right click on the Start button, and then click on Explore) |
8. | Locate the directory C:\Windows\System32 |
9. | In the C:\Windows\System32 directory, locate the file CMClient.dll and right click on it |
10. | Delete the file. |
11. | Exit completely out of Windows Explorer |
12. | Reconnect to X-RiteColor Master Web Edition, and attempt to do a measurement (create standard or measure trial). This will cause the driver to download and re-install. |
