Illumination Lights for VS450

The instrument illuminates a white or green ring for sample positioning, and blue and red spots for instrument status conditions. Descriptions for the illumination spot colors and illumination ring are shown below.

• Flashing blue illumination spot - Indicates that the instrument is cold and needs to warm up. This could occur in the instrument was turned on after storage in a cold environment. You must wait until the flashing clue spot is off before you can take a measurement.

• Flashing red illumination spot - Indicates that the instrument is warm and needs to cool down. You must wait until the flashing red spot is off before you can take a measurement.

• Solid blue illumination spot - Indicates that the instrument's internal temperature is cooler than the temperature that was internally recorded during the last calibration. Sample measurements can be taken in this condition. If this condition persists, a calibration on the instrument should be performed.
