What's included in a recertification?

Customers want to know what is included in an instrument recertification

CERTIFICATION SERVICE:

X-Rite recommends annual re-certification of all densitometers and sensitometers. When the instrument is due for re-certification, simply call X-Rite and request Instrument Certification Service. This service includes:

Loaners are available throught the Service Contract program or with a pay as you go program.
Thorough cleaning and inspection of the Sensitometer or Densitometer.
Complete system test of all functions of the instrument to verify that performance meets or exceeds X-Rite specifications.
Utilization of a Master 21-step density test target, and multiple Master Sensitometers to insure full range performance of your instruments.

Note: All tools are maintained by our Quality Assurance Department: densitometric parameters are traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology ( NIST).
Additional information that describe the tests that were performed and their results as well as how the instrument performs compared to its specifications.
Formal Certification of the instrument, and issuance of documentation assuring traceability to NIST (where applicable) or to X-Rite's own standards.
New calibration test wedge (densitometers only).
