ColorMunki Display Crash On Mac

ColorMunki Display application crashes on Mac.  This has been seen mostly on Mac OS X 10.11 and 10.12.There is crash issue that has been happening on a small number of ColorMunki users on Mac (most often seen on OS X 10.11 and 10.12).  Our software development team has been able to replicate the issue and is working to identify the root cause of these crashes.  We plan to deliver a permanent solution soon and appreciate your patience with this issue.  Many times, if the user selects the “Reopen” button in the crash window…they are able to successfully profile.  Some users have seen an improvement by doing a clean uninstall and then reinstall of CM Display 1.1.4.  To perform a clean manual uninstall of CM Display and then reinstall CM Display 1.1.4, unplug the CM Display device, close all programs, and then delete all of the following files/folders if they exist:
 
Mac HD > Applications:  
Mac HD/Library/
Delete ‘X-Rite’ folder
Delete ‘ColorMunki’ folder
Delete colormunki colorpicker files
Delete all “…x-rite…” files
Delete all “…x-rite…” files
Delete all included “X-Rite…” frameworks and aliases
Delete all colormunki / x-rite related logs
 
Mac HD/Users/<user name>/Library/
Delete “ColorMunki” folder
Delete all “colormunki” and “x-rite” related logs
Delete all “com.xrite…” preference files
 
Restart the computer and then follow these steps to reinstall CM Display 1.1.4:
 
Please do the following:
  1. Close all programs
  2. Unplug your CM Display device
  3. Download and install CM Display 1.1.4 from the link below.
  4. Restart your computer, plug in the CM Display device, open CM Display 1.1.4 and test.
