Tweaking the Registry (PC) to Disable AUTOCROP

To achieve the highest colorimetric precision when creating printer profiles it is possible to disable the (default) auto-cropping feature.  Users beware: doing this requires an edit to the system registry.  Unless you are comfortable with this process, do not consider this action - - an error can disable your PC.  If you are running Windows XP, consider setting a restore point before proceeding!

  1. Open the registry editor (if you do not know how to do this then this article is not for you!)
  2. Locate the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Monacosys\MonacoEZcolor 2.5\Settings

  1. In the right-hand panel, locate and open the key "AUTOCROP".

  2. Set the value to zero (0)  (( A value of one (1) is on, zero (0) is off )).

  3. Close the Registry Editor and restart MonacoEZcolor.

Should you desire to restore the system default, simply repeat the above process returning the value to one (1).
