Question: i1Share does not see the i1 Pro on my Windows 64 bit system. How can I solve this?
Answer: i1Share 1.4 will not work with 64-bit systems because the included i1.dll file has not been updated for 64-bit support. This is why the i1 device will not be recognized on Windows 64-bit systems (XP, Vista, 7). To work around this issue, close i1Share, disconnect your i1, then download and install i1 Match 3.6.2 or i1Diagnostic 2.5.1. Now navigate to the i1 Match (C:\Program Files (x86)\GretagMacbeth\i1\i1 Match 3) or i1Diagnostics (C:\Program Files (x86)\X-Rite\i1Diagnostics) program folder, copy the i1.dll and replace it in the i1Share program folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\GretagMacbeth\i1\i1Share). Plug in the i1 and launch i1Share software. The i1 should now be recognized.
While this should work, this is an UNSUPPORTED work around. If this fails to provide connectivity to i1Share, the user may want to consider looking into a third party application for spot measuring capabilities.
