How Often Should I Profile My Equipment?
Q: How often do I need to profile my monitor and/or my printer and scanner?
A: Monitors may require profiling as often as monthly. LCD panels are more stable and can probably go twice or three times as long with little change. It does not hurt however to perform these tasks more often. Printers must be re-profiled each time there is a change in paper or ink. Printers also should be maintained to ensure that the ink jets (or other delivery means) are clean and functional.
