Salesforce to Sitecore Sync Test

SF overwrites SC. If sync is rescheduled for a once-daily, after hours chron job, it will greatly delay Apps managing two locations.Unclear.
First - - can I create a new SF item followed by a manually created SC proxy?
Next - - can I use the SF article ID to sync the two?
