PANTONE® Names in Photoshop

Q - How do I import colors into the swatches palette of Adobe® Photoshop® and have the color names show up?

A - Photoshop does not support naming of custom colors in its swatch palettes. To import colors with names, use the following workaround. In ColorDrive, use the File/Export command and choose “EPSF Chart” as the file type. Choose a location for the file, and click Save. In Photoshop, from the File/Open command, navigate to the saved palette and open it. The resulting document will contain color squares with the PANTONE Designation underneath. You may use the eyedropper tool to select the appropriate color. You may need to increase the magnification of the document to be able to read the PANTONE Designations properly.
