X-Rite's new 962 and 964 instruments offer improved communications functionality over their older siblings. None-the-less, to ensure backwards compatibility with the Master Series software, they are equipped with a 968 Emulation mode. Follow the steps below to activate (or to turn off) the 968 mode of operation:
Press the "Exit" key ( "x" ) to access the Main Menu.
Repeatedly press the "Down" key until "Configuration" is highlighted; then press "Enter".
Repeatedly press the "Down" key until "Hardware Setup" is highlighted; then press "Enter".
"Serial Port" should be highlighted; press "Enter" again.
Repeatedly press the "Down" key until "Emulation" is highlighted; then press "Enter"
Highlight "968"; then press "Enter".
Press the "Exit" key ( "x" ) to return to the Main Menu.
