Using Bias and Gain Controls When Setting Monitor White Point
Some monitors offer both Bias and Gain controls over the red, green, and blue channels. The Bias (Cutoff) controls adjust the dark areas and the Gain controls adjust the white areas of the monitor (simplified explanation). Please use the Gain controls for setting the monitor to the desired white point (color temperature) and leave the Bias controls untouched (or at manufacturer's default values).
