Why Must I Switch from Paper to Plate Modes?
Q: Why is a switch between printing plate and paper required?
A: PlateScope is designed to accurately measure mechanical dot gain. As such, the behavior of a dot on a paper is much different than on a plate. The selection informs the device of the different artifacts that it will be isolating the dots from in order to provide accurate measurement.
