MIAC 2024 de Octubre 9 - 11, 2024

MAIC 2024, Lucca, Italy

Join X-Rite at MIAC 2024, the international exhibition of paper industry, where we will be showcasing, together with our partner B.F.G., our inline color management solutions for paper mills.

Meet X-Rite at MIAC 2024 on Stand B83!

Producing accurate color on paper can be difficult. If the color drifts at any point in the production of laminated, testliner, security, colored, or white papers, with or without optical brightening agents (OBA), the entire roll is wasted and must be reworked. This is resource-intensive, time-consuming, and costly. To keep color and brightness in harmony, paper manufacturers must constantly monitor color on fast-running paper machines.

process including (1) in liquid paper stock, (2) before reel up, and (3) between press and dryer.

As paper mills embrace digital transformation, inline color measurement systems provide mill operators with real-time color information to avoid costly line errors and rework. Today’s advanced inline and closed-loop solutions lead to more stable and consistent color workflows while reducing start-up times and cutting shade change times by up to 50 percent, saving on dye usage, and minimizing waste and rework. This also helps save energy and water resources to meet sustainability initiatives.

At MIAC 2024, X-Rite will be showcasing industry leading inline systems for easy, accurate and fast color measurement and inspection. X-Rite's inline spectrophotometers make automatic color measurements on the production line to identify and correct color changes before they are visible to the human eye. Deviations caused by temperature or humidity are also automatically corrected.

Featured Inline Color Measurement Solutions:

ColorXRA 45 is a non-contact inline spectrophotometer with standardized 45°:0° measurement geometry and spectral resolution of 1 nm to maintain tight tolerances, plus temperature and dirt detection sensors to warn of issues that could impact final color.

Ci7600 benchtop spectrophotometer in the lab automatically correlates with the inline spectrophotometer. With this complete solution, operators always have the same color values in the lab, eliminating errors caused by manual entry.

ESWin Quality Control Software is a customizable software solution that integrates with inline spectrophotometers to evaluate OBAs and control color quality, evaluate trends, and send instructions to correct current or emerging problems. ESWin can connect for bi-directional communication to any process control or ERP system using OPC.
