ColorXRA G3 Glass Reflectance Spectrophotometer

New

For Reflectance Measurement on Glass Coatings

  • Captures non-contact specular color reflectance measurements at 3 angles to detect coating errors
  • Mounted on a traversing beam to capture measurements in cross direction
  • Connects with ESWin QC to evaluate color quality

Evaluate Color and Effectiveness of Glass Coating

Since glass is non-scattering, conventional measurement devices with direct illumination cannot provide accurate color data. The ColorXRA G3 measures from 330 nm to 1,000 nm with 1 nm optical resolution. In the lab, the device can be mounted on a stand to measure a glass pane laying on a sample support. To measure inline, the ColorXRA G3 can be mounted on a traversing beam above the pane to measure low-e glass and below the pane for the measurement of sun protection coatings.

Illuminates Both the UV and Visible Range

The ColorXRA G3 is a compact multi-angle spectrophotometer that measures from 330 nm to 1,000 nm with 1 nm optical resolution. It is mounted 10 mm from the glass pane and captures spectral data as well as color in reflectance on non-scattering samples at 3 different angles to qualify even multi silver layer coatings.

ColorXRA G3-03
Evaluate Color Consistency From Multiple Viewing Angles

The ColorXRA G3 uses a Xenon flash lamp to take measurements every second on non-scattering products such as coated glass using three geometries simultaneously at +15°: -15°, +45°: -45° and +60°: -60°. The ±15° measurement gives the same readings as in the laboratory with a sphere geometry measurement. The ±45° and the ±60° measurements show color change from different observer angles.

Precise Inline Color Measurement

The 1 nm resolution spectra data from 330 nm to 1,000 nm provide reliable information to control the coating process.

Stability & Accuracy
Short-Term Stability and Long-Term Accuracy

Uses real dual beam measurement and automatic wavelength calibration. Only requires external calibration every 4 weeks for maximum uptime.
