Error ??? 0x00 After updating ColorDesigner

After updating Software or Paint Support Software an error "??? 0x00 when going into Custom Match, Manual Entry or Instrument Calibration.User-added image' Solution: Uninstall/reinstall ColorDesigner only, there is no need to uninstall the Microsoft SQL server.


Windows XP:

  1. On the main desktop of Windows click on Start in the bottom left corner.
  2. Click on Control Panel
  3. Select Add/Remove Programs. Once the list populates select ColorDesigner and hit remove.
  4. Once ColorDesigner is removed from the Add/Remove list reload ColorDesigner using the Most Current Version you have. CD will be Labeled COLORDESIGNER SOFTWARE v10.X

Windows 7: 

  1. Click on the Windows Icon in the bottom left corner
  2. Select Control Panel then Programs
  3. Once the list populates select ColorDesigner and hit uninstall.
  4. Once it is removed reload ColorDesigner using the Most Current Version you have. CD will be Labeled COLORDESIGNER SOFTWARE v10.X
If this still fails giving the customer a ??? 0x00 Remove Java and load the correct version from the ColorDesigner Software CD the file will be labelled JRE6Uxx
