Calibration is an essential part of the maintenance procedure that helps insure accurate and repeatable results from your scanner. To calibrate the head, follow the steps below.
Make sure the calibration plaques are clean. The plaques are located under the head when it's docked. To expose them, simply push the head away from the docking station and push the trap door toward the docking station. You will see white and black cal plaques. To clean the plaques, use a clean dry cotton cloth and simply polish the plaques. Do not use any chemicals, oils, glass cleaner, or soap. After the calibration plaques are clean, push the head back to the docking station.
Click on F6 of your key board. If you do not have a keyboard you will need to use "ATD News Instrument Diagnostics Tool". To open this go to "Start" - "Programs" - "X-Rite Applications" - "ATD News" and then open "ATD News Instrument Diagnostics Tool". At the bottom of the window is the button.
The calibration procedure will take only twenty seconds or so......All done!
