Wrong Paper Size or Orientation When Printing i1Profiler Charts

Printer test charts are printed in the wrong orientation, rotated, or sized improperly.Sometimes the Mac OS and the printer setup utility might change or remember a wrong default paper size or orientation. This leads to the issue where the charts printed with i1Profiler on Mac OS X may print with wrong orientation (landscape instead of portrait or sized incorrectly) even though it worked before.

To fix it, please follow these steps:
  1. Choose the intended printer in System Preferences > Printers and Scanners
  2. Choose another default paper size than what you are using
  3. Close the Print and Scanners
  4. Launch the i1Profiler Software
  5. Follow the RGB Printer profiling wizard until the step where the chart is printed in the "Print" window.  Choose "Cancel" to close the Print window without printing.
  6. Close i1Profiler Software
  7. Go back to Printers and Scanners in System Preferences
  8. Select default paper size to the size that you are using
  9. Relaunch the i1Profiler Software
The charts should now be printed again in correct paper size and orientation.  Resetting these options allow the print driver to correct itself and it should remain with the last chosen option.
