As a package designer, how would PantoneLIVE be useful to me?

  1. Accurate representation of Pantone spot colors based on multiple packaging applications. Imagine how valuable it will be to have Pantone colors that are realistic for labels, folding cartons, and flexible packaging. (Soon also to include cans and corrugated cartons.)
  2. Better communication of precise colors to the packaging supply chain. Each PantoneLIVE color resides in the central PantoneLIVE cloud, and contains spectral reflectance and color metadata that synchronizes color definitions used by prepress, ink suppliers and converters. Everyone receives the same color definitions so that color expectations, and results, are consistent.
  3. You can gain access to brand owner private color when approved by the respective brand administrator. This makes specification of specific brand colors simpler and easier across elements of package design and among different elements of a branding campaign.
