How is ColorBook different from ColorBook and Viewer?
ColorBook extends available PantoneLIVE colors to Adobe Illustrator as swatches, allowing application of specific, packaging-relevant colors to elements of the package design. PantoneLIVE ColorBook and Viewer includes the same functionality, but adds a Viewer window which renders the design color-accurately, with several capabilities:
- Accurate spot color rendering through the full tone scale (from 1% to 100%)
- Spot-color overprint simulation to show how ink color builds will appear in the final package
- Optional adjustment of tone curves for spot colors to show more realistic results
- Use of applied ICC profiles to render CMYK elements correctly
