It has been determined that the latest release of EZcolor (v2.6.5) may encounter an InstallShield error on certain configurations of the Windows operating system. At present it appears that these errors are isolated to OEM versions of Windows XP and XP Pro running Service Pack 2. Analysis suggests that there are corrupted InstallShield files that remain from a prior software install. Below is detailed a Workaround:
Open the Windows Explorer and navigate to the following location:
"C:|Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\"
Within the "RunTime" folder, your will find several other folders "09", "10", "11", "0701", etc.
Delete each of these embedded folders.
You may now attempt to rerun the EZcolor installation.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue we suggest that you RENAME (not delete) the entire "C:|Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\" folder and try again. You may rename the folder to anything you like but we would suggest something similar to"InstallShield-Old".
Again attempt to rerun the EZcolor installation.
