Error When Calibrating The ColorMunki Photo or ColorMunki Design Device

If you are trying to profile your display the software will move you to a page that performs a calibration of the device.  Once this has been complete you will see that you now have 3 check marks on the page as below.  These check marks are indications of the following:

• First the instrument is connected to the operating system and the software is recognizing it.  
• Second, the device has been calibrated correctly.  
• Lastly, the instrument in the correct position to take measurements.

If you are having an issue where you see the check mark turn green indicating that the instrument has been calibrated but as you turn the rotary dial it goes back to red showing that the instrument is not calibrated this is being caused by the center dial being depressed and forcing the device back into a calibration.  You may not even be aware that you are doing this and it can happen quite easily.

The best way to avoid this is to use the nub of your fingers around the outer edge of the dial.  This will prevent the rotary dial from being depressed and therefore allow you to move to the next step in the software.  If these steps are all performed correctly you will see all 3 boxes are now in a green check mark status and the right arrow at the bottom of the page now becomes selectable.
