Polarization or UV filters with Micro-Spot ApertureIn October (1999), X-Rite announced a new micro-spot aperture version of the 500 series spectrodensitometers. These units measure a diameter of 1.6mm x 3.2mm spot; ideal for measuring type and for the small colorbars found on today's short cut-off web presses.

Due to the minimal amount of light sampled with this model, polarization filters and UV filters CANNOT be used with the micro-spot instruments.
