DIP Switch Possibilities - Medical Sensitometers
X-Rite has manufactured a number of different models of medical sensitometers. Each of these models will allow the user to adjust the instrument's level of sensitometric exposure by using the "DIP switches" located on the bottom of the sensitometer. There are a total of seven different combinations of DIP switch settings that are listed in the "Operator's Manual" as well as on the bottom of some of the following models.
- Models 334 and 396 will have just four DIP switches labeled "1 - 4".
- Models 383 and 393 will have eight DIP switches labeled "1 - 8". Switches "1 - 4" are for "Blue" film while switches "5 - 8" are for "Green" film. The setting will apply to whatever is selected by the "Blue/Green" film type setting on the front of the instrument.
- Models 384 and 394 will also have eight DIP switches labeled "1 - 8". Switches "1 - 4" are for "Single emulsion" while switches "5 - 8" are for "Dual emulsion". The setting will apply to whatever is selected by the "Single/Dual" emulsion setting on the front of the instrument.
The seven accepted combinations and three additional "in between" settings (bold italics) are as follows -
