WARNING: As of this writing (04/25/2012) the current version of ShadeVision, v4.0 is NOT compatible with Windows 2008Server. Attempting to install ShadeVision can cause the computer's Control Panel to become inoperative. This effectively renders the computer useless.
Using System Restore to return the PC to a restore point prior to the ShadeVision software installation has been shown to correct the Control Panel issue. System Restore will typically set a restore point when software is installed. Users should be able to restore their system to the restore point when ShadeVision was installed. Access System Restore by going to: Windows "Start" > "All Programs" > "Accessories" > "System Tools" > "System Restore" if a restore is needed.
Under no circumstance should a customer attempt to install ShadeVision on a PC running Windows 2008Server.
