Can Posterior Teeth be Measured with ShadeVision?
Yes, we are confident that the ShadeVision user can typically measure back to the second bicuspid. In some cases, the user can measure molars as well. Use the instrument's disposable tip to pull back the lip and then make sure to follow normal ShadeVision targeting rules...tooth must be centered, glare placed correctly, tip must contact target area, no opposing teeth, no tongue, etc... Having the patient close down slightly will aid in relaxing the cheek to allow the user to position the tip further back in the mouth. However, make sure to avoid having the opposing teeth in the image.
