Network Multiple ColorDesigner Systems

In order to network two ColorDesigner systems, at least one of them must be version 7.0 and other version 5.50 or higher.
Firewall MUST be down in order to maintain solid link between the systems.
Systems have to be connected by CAT5 cable and either PC to PC or through the hub or router.
Locate system with v.7.0 and go to Housekeeping, click on the Customer Files, Location.
Under “Select the server location to use for your Customer Files data” click on the drop down arrow and select from the listing the system you want to use as your database server.
Next step is very important in order to properly establish link to selected database.

EXIT ColorDesigner BY GOING TO THE MAIN MENU AND USING KEYBOARD KEYS ALT + F4.

Enter your Housekeeping password if needed.

Launch ColorDesigner. Now system with v.7.0 is using different system's database.

Please note: you can manipulate with your customer database in a way such as create, edit and delete customer files. You cannot backup or restore any records from the system's database that you are connected to. It can be done only within the system which runs that database.
