Monitor color casts can be caused by an improper calibration and can be very noticable. Try the following steps to test your calibration
Reset the monitor to fatory defaults. On the HP LP2480zx you will find this option on the monitor controls under Open OSD > Factory Reset.
Make sure the i1D2 is flat against the monitor. If necessary, you can tip the monitor back a little bit to allow the weight of the colorimeter to keep it close to the screen. Also clean any fingerprints or smudges on your monitor.
Check your settings. Changing the color temperature of your monitor may introduce a warm or cool cast. Try calibrating at D65 for a more neutral appearance.
If you get the same results in your calibration again, you may either have a problem with your video card, your monitor, or your i1D2.
Try updating your monitor and video card drivers. Test the calibration again.
Calibrate a different monitor (preferably on a different workstation) to see if you get similar results.
If you can repeat the color cast on multiple workstations, the filters on the i1D2 have become contaminated and the unit will need to be replaced. This problem can be caused by dust or humidity invading the filter area of your i1D2. For best results, always store your device in a cool dry place with the ambient light cover attached when it is not in use.
