Profiles unloading on Windows operating systems

Preventing profiles from unloading on Windows operating systems

In the case where profiles are unloading, what we believe is happening may be the operating system is loading its start up items and the profile generated by the profiling software loads but there is another operating system item that is causing it to get bumped back out or unloaded.  Startup Delayer will allow the user to setup how many seconds after Windows has started, to load each program so that the custom generated profile is that last item to load.

Startup Delayer is a third party application that we have tested here in our Applications Support department that helps users avoid a slow system start by giving them control over programs that automatically load when Windows boots up.  Basically, the Windows OS will make an attempt to load every program in the startup folder at the same time. Therefore if you have a large number of programs starting when Windows starts, each program will try and grab CPU time so that it can load.  Most times users notice that this causes a slow down during the boot-up process due to your CPU trying to load all items simultaneously.

After installing Startup Delayer, make sure that you set the X-Rite calibration loader (Logo Calibration Loader, XRGamma, or ColorMunki Gamma) to load last out of any other applications or operating system items so that there is nothing that can possibly cause any conflicts.
