E-mailing Work Order and Restoration Files

Customers may not understand how to e-mail work orders and restoration files.

To send a work order file -

  1. Operate in Dentist Office mode.

  2. Select “Get Work Order” from home screen.

  3. Double-click on the desired work order number.

  4. Make sure that the desired work order number is highlighted. If it is not, then simply single-click on the work order number itself.

  5. Click on the mailbox (send work order to lab) on the bottom of the “Data Viewer” window.

  6. Confirm the work order number and then click on the green forward arrow.

  7. In the “Send Work Order” window, select desired lab in the “Send to Lab” textbox.

  8. Select “Send via e-mail” and then the green check.

  9. Make sure that the e-mail window is addressed correctly and then send it.

  10. If you are not using Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express as your default mail setting, you may need to select “Save-to-file” and save the work order as a file and then attach it to e-mail later.

To send a restoration file -

  1. Operate in Dental Laboratory mode.

  2. Select “Get Work Order” from home screen.

  3. Double click on the desired work order number.

  4. Click on the plus sign (+) located in front of the work order number in the “Data Viewer” window.

  5. Single-click on “Restoration” to highlight it.

  6. Click on the mailbox (send work order to lab) on the bottom of the “Data Viewer” window.

  7. Confirm the work order number and then click on the green forward arrow.

  8. Select “Send via e-mail” and then the green check.

  9. Insert the correct e-mail address - and then send it.

  10. If you are not using Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express as your default mail setting, you may need to select “Save-to-file” and save the restoration order as a file and then attach it to e-mail later.

**Note:   You must have the work order in your database before you can open that work order’s restoration file.
