Calibrating An SP68.. SP98 Series Instrument

To perform a calibration using instrument keys:
  1. Make sure white calibration standard and black trap are clean.
  2. Press "menu" (key #1) twice to enter "MENU PAGE 2". (see note)
    NOTE: If "read" is displayed above key #1 then"double click" the key
    as you would a mouse button to enter "MENU PAGE 2"
  3. Press "cal" (key #2) to enter calibration function.The software datecode and copyright are momentarily displayed then
    ''READ WHITE CALIBRATION PLAQUE'' is displayed.
  4. Position the instrument on the white standard and take measurement.The following sequence is displayed:
  5. Place the instrument over the black trap.
  6. Lower the instrument to the target window to take measurement.
    The following sequence is displayed:

    Calibration is complete.

To perform a calibration using QA Master Software:
  1. Make sure white calibration standard and black trap are clean.
  2. From the menu click "Instrument" then click "Calibrate".-The calibration dialog will be displayed.
  3. Click the "Calibrate" button in the Calibration dialog.
  4. Position the instrument on the white standard and take measurement.The following sequence is displayed:
  5. Place the instrument over the black trap.
  6. Lower the instrument to the target window to take measurement.
    The following sequence is displayed:

    Calibration is complete.
